It's officially wedding season for Mirrors & Lakes! When I first meet a couple and they are getting married in a year, it seems so far away, but before you know it the big day is here! I truly love going on the journey with my couples from the first time getting to know them to the engagement session to the big day! Being able to capture them celebrating one of the biggest moments of their lives is an absolute joy for me, and giving them images that they will look back on for years to come is a pretty cool thing! Here we go! :)

Jonah and Katherine are the perfect example of an amazing love story. Their session was a walk down memory lane of how it all began. They met outside a local theatre after a show, their first date was at the cafe next door. He lent her his scarf over tea and the rest is history! It was fun to go back in time with them (and their cute pup) capturing these great moments!

Heading over to the West Loop neighborhood in Chicago was the perfect pick for these two! Meghan is an amazing artist and with their laid back, fun personalities they made these spots shine! We walked the neighborhood and found such great spots. The West Loop is known for it's restaurants and galleries, so two of our locations are restaurants with such cool vibes that perfectly fit the feel. And are awesome BBQ and Chinese places if you're needing some recommendations. ;) Between the murals and the lights, we also got an amazing sunset; such a great way to end the session!
